Fashion Week
Fashion Week starts next week and I have a handful of shows to attend. From the previews I've been sent there are a couple of labels I'm interested in speaking to, and some pieces I want for myself (what's new). But I'm completely uninspired by clothes at the moment - everything feels the same, y'know? - and I need to look fabulous.

This Fashion Week is in Sydney, and while I would love to fly Eric out, it's a tad out of my budget, hehe. I'll be in Paris early July though, taking my own Paris daily photo :-)
Isn't there some controversy with AFW at the moment? (OK, there is always some controversy with some Drama Queen, but I mean EXTRA controversy). I think I read something in the press a week or two back about AFW and how a few designers were skipping it this year due to cost of shows, venues not being up to scratch, and changes to dates (it used to run Mon to Fri, but is now running over the weekend instead, which means a lot of overseas buyers won't be sticking around for the weekend shows).
Will be interesting to hear your thoughts on AFW though after you've been.
Yep, it is running over the weekend which is...interesting (and since I'll be going both during the week and weekend I'll be sure to note the difference in attendees). As for the designers, some are doing private shows but I think the turnout is looking good. The cost is an issue they have to work out for the viability of Australian fashion weeks. Anna Wintour didn't even attend Paris, why would a lot of them come to Australia? You have to support the designers, not increase costs.

Stupid me...I didn't make the link. Guee I'm becoming too parisian thinking that all fashion is here. Silly, silly - shame, shame.
Hehe that's ok - but I just found that this http://www.paris.fr/portail/Culture/Portal.lut?page_id=5854&document_type_id=2&document_id=15049&portlet_id=12995 will be on while I'm there, so that's something extra to look forward to.
