The Devil Wears Prada

Loved it.

I was squeeling throughout half the movie - the clothes, the lines, the sharpness. More than pleasantly surprised (not having read the book), it's very well done and perfectly acted by everybody. Meryl Streep is superb! I could nit-pick and say I found gorgeous Simon Baker's character ridiculous and as cliched as the view of the Eiffel Tour from his bedroom window, but I won't, I'll just look forward to pre-ordering the movie on DVD!

Haha saw it last night too! I've never seen a cinema packed to the gills like that.

I saw it yesterday. Loved it. That coat Miss Streep wears in the very first scene you see her ... oh god, homicide material. And Stanley Tucci has all the best lines.

Oh yes. And Nigel's a well-done character, not a stereotypical bitchy queen.

Saw Devil this weekend too! Its fab, but do make time to read the book. The Simon Baker character is much better developed.

I saw it last night and loved it too. I have to say I think it was better than the book - certainly a lot 'rounder'. The decision to make Streep's character a woman bound by the choices she had made worked really well even though I was dubious at first. The end scene in the limo with 'Ahn-draya' and Miranda is really poignant I think.

I loved this movie...I couldn't stop laughing. I have to concur with your summation of Simon Baker's character and he was having some really bad hair scenes!
